1. Scope
This Policy applies to the DocOrca website, document tools, account, plan-purchase, and support features at docorca.com.
2. Data we collect
Data you provide
- Account and contact data, such as email address, account identifier, and messages sent to support.
- Documents you upload, filenames, processing options, and generated results required to run the tool you choose.
- Order, plan, currency, amount, and payment-status data. Authorized payment providers process full payment-card details; we do not store them on this site.
Data generated automatically
For security and troubleshooting, we may record request times, browser type, general device and network information, error logs, job status, and necessary security events. We do not inspect document contents for advertising profiles.
3. How we use data
- To upload, automatically process, generate, and deliver document results.
- To manage free allowances, plan benefits, orders, and refunds.
- To answer support requests, diagnose failures, and prevent fraud, abuse, and attacks.
- To comply with accounting, tax, consumer-protection, and other legal duties.
- To improve reliability and usability using aggregated or de-identified data.
4. File retention and deletion
Files are processed automatically. Staff do not view file contents unless needed to investigate an issue you report or where law requires it.
- Free-account uploads and results are generally retained for no more than 3 hours.
- Active paid-plan uploads and results are generally retained for no more than 24 hours.
- Files are removed when you delete them or when the retention period expires. Short-lived remnants may remain while backups or logs rotate.
- Account, order, and support records are kept as long as reasonably needed for performance, disputes, accounting, security, and law.
6. Cookies and local storage
We may use necessary cookies or browser storage for accounts, language, job state, and security. Non-essential advertising tracking is not currently a condition of using the service. If that changes, we will provide legally required notice and choices.
7. Security
We use encrypted transport, access controls, least-privilege practices, automatic file expiry, and log review. No internet service is perfectly secure. Keep independent copies of important documents and report suspected issues promptly.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, or objection. Some order, tax, or security records may need to be retained by law.
Submit a request through our support form. We may verify your identity to protect the account.
9. Children
The service is intended for people able to enter a valid service contract. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Contact us if you believe a child supplied data without appropriate authorization.
10. Updates
We will update the effective date when this Policy changes. Material changes will be communicated through the site or an available account channel.
11. Contact
Privacy questions and rights requests can be submitted through our support form. We will reply to the email address you provide.
